This was not on my bingo card. I remember reading that a major Nollywood producer was starting their own streamer and never thought it was Inkblot. Really excited for them, I wish them the best. Wouldn't it be better if they worked together and pooled their resources. I think collaboration beats competition in this case.

I’d say this is an actual example of collaboration. Between Inkblot and Filmhouse, there’s enough IP and industry relationships that make a solid foundation. The problems will be the quality of the tech, discoverability (of the app and its content), and pricing dynamics.

That's actually one way to look at it. But I was thinking about EbonyLife and Kava. I think it's a waste for them to be independently building their own streamers. I think it would be better if they worked together or even if they worked with Iroko and the other Africa focused streamers. But that is often easier said than done. But I wish them the best. I wonder if the telcos are still going to come through with their own platforms.

Oh, I get that now. They’re rivals, so that won’t happen 🤣

As for the telcos, they’ve tried and failed a few times.
