Introducing Communiqué Digest
For topics that are too short for essays but too important to ignore.
There are three newsletters I can’t live without:
As important as these newsletters are to me (and thousands of other media and creator economy enthusiasts), none of them is remotely similar in style and delivery to what Communiqué has become synonymous with: longform, data-driven narrative essays. Instead, those newsletters are incredibly good at curating important stories and providing necessary perspective with as few words as possible.
Axios Media Trends and The Publish Press are particularly helpful “coffee break” reads. You can finish them within 5-7 minutes each, and they give you most of the information you need to go about your day (or week). But there’s a challenge: they are both very U.S.-centric newsletters. Which means there is a gap. For Africa, at least.
Enter Communiqué Digest.
Communiqué Digest is a bi-monthly newsletter that rounds up the biggest, most interesting, and most important stories and events within (or related to) Africa’s creative economy. Through this, we will keep you updated about issues that could impact your career, business, and worldview.
The newsletter will come every second and last Friday at 11AM (GMT+1) / 5AM (ET), starting next week.
If you’re already a Communiqué subscriber, you don’t need to take further action. But if you aren’t, you can subscribe here. See you on Friday!
Love this idea David, great addition to what you're doing.
