Back in March, we hosted the very first edition of Communiqué IRL in Lagos, Nigeria and it was everything we hoped for. The room was full, the vibes were unmatched, and the conversations were some of the most thoughtful we’ve had offline.

Now, we’re bringing that same community magic to East Africa with a fresh edition of Communiqué IRL (In Real Life), our signature networking event for the creative economy.
This time, we’re heading to Nairobi.
Join us on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Alliance Française by 6PM EAT for an evening of curated conversation, insight, and connection centered around the theme:
How data helps us map out East Africa’s creative economy.
We have a solid lineup featuring speakers including Brian Kimanzi, Mars Maasai of HEVA Fund, Ezekiel 'Ezy' Onyango of Pan-African Innovation, Policy and Evidence Centre for Creative and Cultural Industries (PAIPEC-CCI), Wangui Njoroge, our East Africa Consultant, and more, plus a surprise exclusively for those in the room.
Come for the ideas. Stay for the people (and light bites, of course!). Leave recharged for the work you do to move the creative economy forward.
Communiqué IRL – Nairobi Edition is supported by The French Embassy in Kenya and Somalia, and Institut Français, and hosted in partnership with Alliance Française Kenya.
We can't wait to see you in Nairobi.
