Crazy how when I think of it, growing up, NTA, AIT, and Silverbird all had some stellar and distinct shows that made them very entertaining to watch

From music Africa, goge Africa (not sure now), some distinct popular NTA plays,

WAP had some good stuff too

If these things were properly shipped to a global audience it would have shifted African media to a whole new level

But then, that's just me two cents

You’re right. And it’s part of the point the essay makes. Exporting culture has never really been our strong suit as a continent. For many reasons, yes. But it should become a more conspicuous effort.

Yes sir

I believe for this article to exist in the first place, things won't remain the way they are for long

This is a broad vision but where do we draw the line? We still need the western part of the world to help us with funding, training etc. I am not saying it is not possible to have our own media, I mean African oriented media but where do we draw the line and own our craft such that the westerners who may intend to invest should know their limits and cross it. Nevertheless, this is beautiful and I have learnt so much. Media is very wide.

I'm not sure I get the question. Is this a question of ownership? Then that is simply answered by the nature of the company's cap table and how much equity they give up. Or in the end, by how long they can stay alive without giving up complete ownership in the name of an exit.

Yeah. Ownership. This is satisfactory by the way.
